Had myself a nice couple hours, trimming some outdoor cannabis, watching the end of the trading day & pre election propaganda on Bloomberg.
Gotta reward yourself with a victory joint
This weed is actually a lot better than I expected. I pulled her early, as soon as I saw the first sign of mold. Doesn’t seem to have spread much if any. No sneezing while trimming & a very smooth smoke already despite being pretty fresh still.
Quite a few of these nice size tops to cure.
I will select out all the best buds to jar in a day or two & then I’m gonna press all the littles into rosin soon.
Plenty of dry sift under these trays to top on bowls or press or cook with....
Here is what she looked like the day I cut her down a few weeks ago, she seemed happy that day. Job well done plant 💚
This is what she looked like July 31st before a big pre flower lollipop & she ended up losing a lot of leaves early on due to lack of food in the soil.
In my experience it doesn’t necessarily help outdoor cannabis up here to feed them a bunch. One thing I see consistently every season is that bigger buds mold up really fast, even when the weather is nice. & not even really big buds, anything bigger than tiny is likely to develop bud rot as soon as October hits. However, if you keep buds tiny, perhaps by limiting light & obsessively topping, you can grow a whole lot of super sweet & amazing smell blue cheese like this 👇
👆 Those buds are really tiny, terrible yield, but no mold & smells better than any healthy indoor from the same pheno. Smells more fruity & less cheese than the indoor. The limited light also turned everything darker faster than the plants that had more light. Which is also interesting.
My other favorite outdoor plant of the year was another tiny bud cross I immaculately created when blueberry headband cbd (aka rasheeed Wallace) knocked up an Ayahuasca Purple pheno (aka pineal Amy)
Sheed bangs Amy & creates a tiny bud yielding plant that smells like grape kool aid! I can’t wait to smoke this plant when she dries. I could eat it fresh it smells so good
That’s it for now, all my outdoor is either cut down or too moldy to care about anymore. Another season in the books, least amount of outdoor work ever (planted them & then watered maybe 5 times). Pretty good results & lots of good observational learning 😊
A few lost plants but plenty of natural sun grown plant medicine for the rainy days ahead!
