Primeramente pido respeto a este punto de vista que mostraré a continuación y respeto a los que no compartan este pensar. Les voy a mencionar algunos aspectos por los que pienso que Steemit no es solo una alternativa a Youtube.
First of all I ask respect for this point of view that I will show below and respect those who do not share this thinking. I'm going to mention some aspects for which I think Steemit it's not just an alternative to YouTube.

Youtube
En Youtube bien sabemos que es muy difícil conseguir una popularidad alta ya que ésta compañía está centralizada. En el caso de Venezuela es muchísimo más difícil conseguir esto ya que como perfectamente se sabe, primero no se pueden monetizar los videos, y los que lo han hecho es a través de cuentas bancarias en el exterior o de alguna otra manera alterna, y sin esto no recibes ofertas de patrocinadores para poner sus anuncios en tus videos, que son los que te dan una ganancia sustanciosa o no, de dinero, dependiendo de las visitas que tengas en tus videos.
Otra manera de ganar popularidad en Youtube es ser presentado por un Youtuber que ya tenga trayectoria en la página y sea popular, de manera que parte de sus suscriptores vayan a tu canal por medio de él.
In Youtube we know that it is too difficult to reach a high popularity since this company is centralized. In the case of Venezuela, it's more difficult to achieve this because, as is well known, the videos can't be monetized, and those that have done so are through bank accounts abroad or in some other alternate way, and without this you don't receive offers from sponsors to put your ads on your videos, which are those that give you a substantial gain of money or not, depending on the visits you have in your videos.
Another way to gain popularity on YouTube is you can be introduced by a Youtuber that already has a trajectory on the page and being popular, so that part of his subs go to your channel through him.

En Steemit puedes ganar popularidad comentando otros posts, interactuando en Discord con otros usuarios a través de las comunidades, o también por Steemit.chat, mientras haces contenido que te guste, ¡lo importante es que lo disfrutes!.

Youtube
En Youtube tienes que tener más de 100.000 suscriptores para solo empezar a verle ganancia y beneficios, no es imposible, pero para una persona de esta parte del mundo (como yo), y no solo de esta parte del mundo, también para el continente asiático, africano, si es muy difícil.

Acá en Steemit con tu primer post, que es una presentación de ti mismo, ya obtienes tus primeras ganancias y una popularidad, baja, pero es apenas el comienzo. Y en el caso de mi país Venezuela, al contrario de Youtube, acá en Steemit tu contenido si es monetizado, a través de la criptomoneda Steem, y sin necesidad de tener cuentas bancarias en el exterior o de hacer alguna manera alterna ni de tener patrocinadores.

Para los que somos músicos, o blogueros, pues ya muchos sabemos, existe una plataforma alterna llamada “Dtube” donde se pueden subir los videos y luego el link en Steemit.

Como dije ya anteriormente, Youtube es centralizada y sino ganas alta popularidad no puedes disfrutar de los beneficios, no hay patrocinadores, no hay invitaciones a viajes ni conferencias organizadas por Youtube, etc.

En Steemit hay muchos concursos, solo tienes que dar click en el tag “Contest” donde puedes participar independientemente de tu talento, hay concursos desde fotografía, arte, literatura, cocina, deportes, etc.
