Hello there! It's me, Mae!
I hope you all are doing well. Indeed, nothing beats a day spent with family — sharing good food, laughter, and little moments that make big memories. I am with my mom, lola(grandma), baby sister and wawa (grandma's neighbor).
We went to a shopping mall to buy some glasses for my mom because she always talking about her eyes that are blurry and she can't read small letters in her phone. While mom searched for the perfect pair of eyeglasses and inquiring a free eye check up, I took care of my little sister. I bought some chocolates, so I gave it to her and thankfully she ate it while sitting on the chair and choose to behave hahaha. Also, lola bought reading glasses in the same eyewear shop for the reason that, her old reading glasses has scratches.
It's eating time! We had lunch together and I am happy that my food turned out delicious. The chicken wings was not too spicy and flavorful enough to satisfy my cravings. My baby sister was enjoying the chicken too but its garlic flavor. Mom had a chiken wings but barbecue flavor and some slice pizza. Lola and wawa had also barbecue flavored chicken wings with plain rice. This simple moments like this makes me smile.
After we finished our lunch, we made a quick stop at the parlor to get my lola’s hair trimmed. It wasn’t a planned visit, but she mentioned wanting a little freshen-up, so we went for it. She looked so cute sitting in the chair, chatting with the stylist hahaha but it felt nice seeing her get pampered a bit.
Lastly, we went home—tired, full, and content after a day of small but meaningful moments. The ride back was quiet, with everyone feeling that happy kind of exhaustion. My lola looked refreshed from her haircut, my baby sister was calm after all the excitement, my mom had her new eyeglasses and I just felt grateful for the joys we got to share. It wasn’t a grand adventure, but sometimes days like these are the ones that stick with me the most.
Hoping to see you all again. Bye bye! ❤️
