Battambbang is the most important place for agriculture in Cambodia. The population in Battambang is 150,444 people and 80 percents of them are farmers. Most farmers grows rice and fruit plantations. Battambang is a peaceful place to live.
In the rainy season people much busy with working on the field. In the summer they have holiday, then they can make more children. All the farmers have 4 to 12 children. They believe the more children they have made, the easier for them when they get older. As it always that when parents get older, then children always look good after them. Cambodia has many young people, because during the war in the Khmer Rouge regime many people die. It is about 2,5 millions people were killed by the Khmer rouge. Nowadays 16,135,657 people in Cambodia and 65 percents of the population are young people.
Battambanng is my beautiful home town, I was there last year to visit my family. When I was living there my family and I were farmer. We had a quiet life, but with a small world. We did not travel much, because we did not have much money. Most of the money we earn from plantation, we used for the whole year to buy food, clothes and other useful things.
My life is easier now, but more busy, when I started to have my own family. That what we called life is unlimited experiences.
