Hoy gracias a el lente de mi cámara pude estar cara a cara con una hermosa mariposa, me guiñó el ojo y quedé enamorada.

Today I went out to do some shopping, and I did it walking. To get to the nearest store, I have to cross a path full of vegetation, so it is not uncommon to meet one of nature's wonders.

Hoy salí a realizar unas compras y lo hice caminando. Para llegar a la tienda más cercana debo atravesar un camino lleno de vegetación así que no es raro un encuentro con alguna de las maravillas de la naturaleza.

Whenever I walk, I always watch where I step as there are so many insects and birds around that I am afraid of damaging any of them. It's a good thing I have this habit because when I looked towards the sidewalk, there was a butterfly with its wings outstretched in the middle of it. At first, I was worried because I thought it was injured, and I approached it very carefully to try to help it enter the vegetation, so the pedestrians coming behind me would not step on it.

Siempre que camino me fijo bien dónde piso ya que hay tantos insectos y aves alrededor que me dá miedo dañar alguno. Menos mal que tengo esta costumbre ya que al ver hacia la acera estaba en todo el medio una mariposa con las alas extendidas. En un inicio me preocupé porque pensé que estaba lesionada y me acerqué con mucho cuidado para tratar de ayudarla a entrar a la vegetación, así los peatones que venían detrás de mí no la pisarían.

I bent down and put myself around it to make sure it was okay, but the butterfly, upon noticing my presence closed its wings, showing the front part of them, giving me a beautiful print.

Me agaché y me puse alrededor de ella para ver que estuviera bien, pero la mariposa al percatarse de mi presencia cerró sus alas exhibiendo la parte anterior de éstas regalándome un estampado hermoso.

With the help of a dry leaf, I made it rest its legs on her and move her to the vegetation, but what a surprise, she was not hurt and could fly, but she returned to the sidewalk, what a stubborn butterfly! After a few minutes of disagreement between us, I managed to get her to fly to the vegetation. To make sure she was safe, I followed her flight path until she landed on the trunk of a bamboo tree. I couldn't resist my curiosity, so I approached it again and photographed it.

Con ayuda de una hoja seca hice que posara sus patas en ella y poder trasladarla a la vegetación pero vaya sorpresa, ella no estaba herida y pudo volar pero se regresó otra vez a la acera. ¡que mariposa tan terca!. Después de unos minutos de desacuerdo entre nosotras, logré que volara hacia la vegetación. Para percatarme que estaba segura seguí el trayecto de su vuelo hasta que se posó sobr el tronco de un bambú. No pude resistir mi curiosidad así que me acerqué de nuevo hacia a ella y la fotografíe.

It is a butterfly belonging to the genus Catasticta. It lives in humid forests of temperate to a cold temperature at an average altitude of 1500 meters. It is said that the female of this species is very restless, almost does not perch anywhere, so I have to intuit that this butterfly is a male, which enjoys being on a surface instead of flying, leaving bad to the male gender hahaha.

Esta es una mariposa perteneciente al género Catasticta, habita en bosques húmedos de temperatura templada a fría a una altura promedio de los 1500 metros. Dicen que la hembra de esta especie es muy inquieta, casi no se posa en ninguna parte, así que he de intuir que esta mariposa es un macho, los cuales disfrutan de estar en una superficie en lugar de volar dejando mal al género masculino jajaja.

Nunca abrió sus alas mientras la fotografiaba, pero se me quedó mirando fijamente y hasta me guiñó en ojo y después se fue volando. Si crees que me imaginé este gesto te muestro las fotos para que tu puedas juzgar si ese guiño de ojo fue un ¡gracias!
