Hello friends!
This week I want to share with you for #KISS Blogging Ideas for the Week , how is my contact with nature, everything she has taught me, and why every day I find it harder to visit the city.
We are sometimes used to living in a concrete jungle where our senses are often troubled by noise, light, and air pollution. However, we always have the opportunity to escape to natural spaces to connect with each of its elements.
The beach is one of the places we most enjoy as a family. However, for health reasons, the very warm weather does not agree with me, so I can't stay at the beach for as many days as I would like.
That's why I feel more comfortable in mountain climates. Maybe I have the spirit of a deer! I don't know. I feel a fascination for the vegetation of the mountains and the closeness to the sky.
I am blessed to live in the middle of a forest, on a mountain several meters high. The city is a 10-minute walk away, so I have the gift of enjoying clean air, listening to the sounds that nature emits, and a sky that looks like a canvas where clouds of whimsical shapes are drawn day by day. It reminds me that every day is not the same and that we must be open to the fact that anything can happen beyond our schedule and not feel frustrated.
I confess to you that I was a person who had a phobia of insects. Living in a forest makes encounters with insects inevitable from a butterfly to beetles of unimaginable beauty. Every time I have encountered an insect, I photograph and research it. It has made me admire and respect them as an important part of the ecosystem. The great lesson of this is that we are always afraid of the unknown. We reject it and even attack it. When we learn from the unknown it helps us to understand it, accept it and maybe love it. Can you imagine if we applied this to our human relationships? I think the world would ask for less tolerance and practice more healthy coexistence!
It has happened to me recently that some butterflies land on me. I think that's great! It's like a message from nature telling me that I am part of it. The more we detach ourselves from stressful situations, from emotional baggage, and we reduce the importance of material things, our vibration will be similar to nature's, and we can be more in tune with it.
The forest surrounding my house has varied flora. Depending on the path you walk, the flowers and vegetation are different.
I invite you to enjoy the following video to see what one of my days in contact with nature is like:
As you have seen, it is impossible not to be surprised by so much beauty. I feel fortunate to have all my senses able to capture with my eyes the beautiful colors and shapes of nature. I am fortunate to breathe fresh air and smell the scent of flowers and grasses. My ears delight in the chirping of birds. I feel that my sense of hearing has become so fine-tuned that I can hear even crickets in the distance even when I am indoors. I have learned to recognize birdsong when they perch at my window. I know when they chirp with happiness and when they chirp for food. I share my rice with the birds. It is the greatest satisfaction because it has cultivated in me compassion and giving without expecting thanks or recognition. The birds have taught me to be more generous.
Did you see in the video how the birds fly through the blue sky? Watching this brings me a lot of peace, and I can perceive the freedom of these birds, something that reminds me that we are free. We cannot let anyone or anything imprison us. Being free we can fly to the fullest.
Have you had the experience of being in a bamboo forest? I can tell you that it is the best. Its leaves vibrate against the wind in such a way that they seem to talk to you. Observing a bamboo forest transports you to a place of stillness. It is indescribable. If this sensation is what we feel when we leave our bodily existence, then all the experiences of our human existence will have been worthwhile.
So much beauty makes me think about the responsibility we each have to take care of nature and foster love for it. When I am surrounded by nature, it is impossible not to believe in God or in that intangible universal force, of which we are a part. Seeing how each element of nature has a routine makes me think that each one of them knows its meaning in life as well as human beings. What happens is that sometimes people get lost and do not see the essential.
Nature has made me a better person. I wouldn't trade a day in the woods for a luxurious place. Do you understand why it's harder for me to go to the city?
Thanks for reading. See you in a future post!
