Financial losses are not worth losing your life over. Money and material things can be recovered over time, but your time here on earth cannot. And though you may sometimes question if the act of existence itself is worth struggling over, I want you to try your best to remember the good times in your life and savor them when hope seems lost. Don't give it a half-assed effort, put your energy into the task of remembering what really makes you smile.
There are people out there who value your companionship, your talents, your energy. Don't be dismissive of the good they see in you. Try to realize that when pushed into a corner the mind twists what we see and interprets things in a negative light. The more we understand why we think these things the more comfortable we can become in dealing with these thoughts and moods when they come to us in the future.
Use this time to strengthen yourself and your mind, learning how to deal with difficult times such as those you may be experiencing now is an opportunity, not an obstacle. You will triumph over these setbacks renewed and refreshed, and looking back you'll be able to laugh heartily at what turned out to be a growing experience for all of us.
Take care, friends, let's be there for each other.
