There was a time when all I ever did was read novels after novels whenever I had my phone at hand. Nothing else mattered much. I could go a whole day without checking on the happenings on other sites. I prefer hardcopy novels but because I could not afford to get them, sleeping on these apps that offered them to me for free was my resort.
That, and listening to some podcasts. I liked that too but can't recall the podcasts, where I listened to them from and what channels they were on. I did not have up and running media accounts(I still do not).
It was just about a month or two ago that I started to go on Tiktok and boy, that platform has so much going for it. From one to two and before I can tell, I've down ten videos. They're so short and entertaining. I hate time wasting(particularly on things I think do not benefit me). So whenever I go there, it's to go check out a new photography/videography tip or editing process. Make it worthwhile, yunno. You see, while it's a fun platform, it doesn't give me the sort of pleasure to not think of it as time and data consuming.
It's just not the deal for me. Reading book is. From telling myself to only consume five pages cause I don't want to lose out on the streak/habit that I have going on for me, I end up reading two chapters. Nothing is half pulling.
Then i got on with YouTube. Always have, but i realize how much of a sucker that i am for it. A fanatic for seeing self-development videos -no comedy shows or movies; except for Maraji's(girl is so good- and binge watching perfume hauls/collection videos. Don't think there's any perfume video(particularly by Nigerians -for relativity sakes- that I haven't seen yet. I love perfume so much and something about those videos gives me calm and makes me delighted. Even seeing videos based on schoolwork feels good from there.
I would scroll endlessly there before realizing that, 'oh, I've been here so long, an hour has passed' or I'd download tons of videos and only come to realization when data consumption notification pops up.
I must confess, I went on there on YouTube to just look around before coming on here and making this post. That's how much I like and frequent the place.
That's about it for my digital pleasures. Reading novels online and binge-watching videos on YouTube.

Thanks for gracing this post.
Greetings!
