Today, like every other day,
Is odd but special in its own way.
This day, that is today,
I wake up with something new to say.
Something new and something strange,
Something I want to get but I feel it’s out of range.
Something higher than every other person,
Something that many find hard to understand,
Something that can make us outcasts in our own land.
We have dreams,
Everyday these dreams reach us like sunbeams.
We know they are more than just imaginations at night.
What we feel and see will fill the night crawlers with fright.
Something that many find hard to understand,
Something that can make us outcasts in our own land.
We have dreams,
Everyday these dreams reach us like sunbeams.
We know they are more than just imaginations at night.
What we feel and see will fill the night crawlers with fright.
But our time will come,
And our time will feel like the end for some.
For we are dreamers,
We are stronger than they are, we are achievers.
We see what they don’t,
And hear what they won’t.
We dream, we strive, we achieve,
And when they realize their mistakes and come, we’ll forgive.
For what good is being on top,
If you can’t pull the others down up.
We are here not just for the benefit of self,
We are one and we are each a modern day Joseph.
