We have the responsibility to take care of other people who are around us even though is not our responsibility to look after them. Believers are encouraged to be generous and willing to share what they have. Helping others financially is seen as an act of love and obedience to God, not something done by force but from a willing heart.
Galatians 6:2, it says, “Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.”
However, the Bible also emphasizes personal responsibility and wisdom. We are not expected to neglect our own needs or support laziness.
2 Thessalonians 3:10, it says, “The one who is unwilling to work shall not eat.”
So helping others should be done with clear mind and wisdom. So, as Christians, we are called to be compassionate and generous, but also responsible and balanced in how we support others.
