Studying God’s word daily helps us grow in wisdom and understanding. Psalm 1 describes a blessed person as someone who delights in the law of the Lord and meditates on it day and night. Such a person is compared to a tree planted by rivers of water. That picture teaches us that constant study brings steady growth, stability, and fruitfulness in our lives.
We also need to study the word of God whenever we face challenges or confusion. Life is full of questions, temptations, and hard decisions. The more we are familiar with Scripture, the more prepared we are to respond wisely. Jesus Himself answered temptation with the words of Scripture, showing us that knowing God’s word deeply is powerful and necessary.
It is also important to study the word of God not only alone but with others. Fellowship, Bible study groups, and church teachings help us understand Scripture better. When we discuss and share insights, our understanding becomes clearer and stronger. So, studying the Bible should be both personal and communal.
