Hi, fellow Steemians!
My name is Margharet. A software test engineer by profession, a writer by passion, and a mother by heart. Well, at least I used to be a software test engineer, but now I'm a fulltime mom and a freelance content writer on the side. Honestly, I never really imagined that I will ever be a stay-at-home mom. But, as they say, 'when life gives you lemons, make lemon meringue cake.' Well, you get the idea.
My life used to be about endless deadlines and meetings. Now, it revolves around bathing and feeding the baby--and changing diapers! But, it also includes waking up to hugs, kisses, and giggles every morning. Many think that stay-at-home parents have the best life because we just dawdle and sleep anytime we want at home. Honestly? I used to think the same. But when I found myself in the same situation, I had a nasty realization. Being a full-time mother is the most rewarding but also the most exhausting profession I have ever undertaken. And life has become extra challenging because, as it turns out, I am raising the future Pacquiao and The Undertaker of the next generation--and I am his sparring partner!
Okay. So, more about me...Hmm...I'd like to say that I read and watch profound and inspirational books and movies, but I don't. I'm an adolescent trapped in the body of a 34-year old mother. I like books by Rick Riordan, JK Rowling, and Meg Cabot. I'm also a Disney/Pixar movie kinda gal. High school musical is just ❤.
Pro tip: The best excuse for watching cartoons (without getting judged) is having a toddler in the house.
My choice of music isn't any better either. If I like it, I like it no matter what genre it is. But, I tend to listen to POP music more. Wanna know my deepest darkest secret? I listened to and actually LIKED some of Justin Bieber's songs! Shhh! Don't tell anyone. This is a secret I'm only willing to share with my fellow Steemians. Please don't judge me.
Fun Facts About Me:
- I'm tone deaf but I still love musicals because...why not?
- I like to crank up the AC then bury myself in 3 layers of blankets with a foot sticking out.
- I prefer TV series over movies because their shorter but I can watch half the season in one seating. Go figure, right?
