My second story so far,
I studied at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) for 2 years studying contemporary music.
One of our assignments last year was to write a song about summer.
Happiness is commonly a very hard topic to write about because for many songwriters music is a way to let out pain.
However when listening to music, happy songs can be amazing and very popular!
When I was writing the song I wasn't overly happy and simply describing the season of summer didn't seem authentic and instead rather too simple. So instead, I wrote about how I needed to keep trying and summer might not be as far away as I thought.
My songwriting lecturer has been one of my all-time favorite teachers and he ended up loving the song!

I hope you love it too!
