Today at church was really a reflective one for me. My church Glad Tidings Pj , the senior Pastor Vincent Leoh was preaching from ( 1 Kings 18 : 41-46 )
“ “And Elijah said to Ahab, “Go, eat and drink, for there is the sound of a heavy rain.” So Ahab went off to eat and drink, but Elijah climbed to the top of Carmel, bent down to the ground and put his face between his knees. “Go and look toward the sea,” he told his servant. And he went up and looked. “There is nothing there,” he said. Seven times Elijah said, “Go back.” The seventh time the servant reported, “A cloud as small as a man’s hand is rising from the sea.” So Elijah said, “Go and tell Ahab, ‘Hitch up your chariot and go down before the rain stops you.’ ” Meanwhile, the sky grew black with clouds, the wind rose, a heavy rain started falling and Ahab rode off to Jezreel. The power of the Lord came on Elijah and, tucking his cloak into his belt, he ran ahead of Ahab all the way to Jezreel. ( 1 Kings 18:41-46 ) “
Touching on our God the king of Kings and the Lord of Lords can turn nothing into something. God can make the impossible - possible. God can turn situations around.
The one thing that really got my heart tugging is that in the season of drought , loss , confusion or even seasons of stretching , God is always there. God sends His rain over us.
One thing i learn that got me reflecting is when my heart is truly anchored to the heart of God, I am able to withstand all storms of life. There will definitely be storms sometimes even dry seasons but admist all that , God spoke to me during worship is “ When you are down to nothing , I AM up to something “ .
This applies to everyone who is going through a season that seem impossible know that Jesus is always up to something! It isn’t over no matter how big or tough that storm / situation is. Jesus reigns forever in your life. Jesus stays the same. Jesus love forever remains.
When at times you feel alone or feel like there is no answer from God. Know that God places everything at the right time hence right season.
Rest assured , Jesus is with you in that storm.
Chin up Fam!
God Bless you!
