Hi there everyone!
Hello from Melbourne, Australia from myself and Indy as we drove for 10 hours yesterday from rural NSW to Victoria, with her sitting on my shoulder the entire time so she could she became a city bird. What an incredible bird she is. What a freakin LEGEND! π
Which is infact, the whole reason I drove up there was to get her and the icing on the cake was being able to stop off on the way up there to camp and go for a range of huge walks at a place on the coast of NSW that grabbed my heart and imagination may years ago and infact, if you want to see sunset at the pristine beauty of Bittangabee Bay, then click here @chocolatescorpi/hshumygs and if you want to see the extraordinary Lyrebird, native ONLY to Australia, then click here to watch it do the most amazing thing....@chocolatescorpi/yrvutgtm and if you want to head a few kilometers up the dirt track to the intriguing and historic Green Cape Lighthouse, then click here @chocolatescorpi/my-wonderful-wednesday-walk-down-memory-lane-into-both-the-1880s-and-the-1980s
We hope that you are all doing well where ever you are and whatever you are doing around the world- but we hope that you are out and about getting in your photos to share with us so we can all have virtual tours with each other.
And if you want to know what all this hump day fuss is about, then as says,
Try and get out once a week for a short walk, can be from your office, home or anywhere really and walk for a few blocks or a few minutes looking for things to get shots of.
Your walk does not have to be on a Wednesday I just ask if possible to share your walk photos on a Wednesday.
And if you do all of that, then you will also #makemesmile for too!
AND, if you do love traveling but can't afford to at the moment like most of us, then please click on this link to travel anywhere in the world through #PeakD! created/hive-155530
Now for this #WednesdayWalk, I'd like to introduce you to the Bittangabee Bay camp host Paul, who was not only so generous with his time, but also so entertaining with his conversations AND built a brilliant camp kitchen too!
Thank you Paul, I really enjoyed meeting you and the conversations that we had!
So these days, most campgrounds are so perfectly landscaped, they almost feel like 5***** resorts and there's not much resemblance to real camping, so I'd like to share with you a few photos of what real camping is, particularly in this remote spot of Australia.
So as you will see, there were a rage of camping outfits. From these more contemporary, tent-like swags (unlike mine which is 26yrs old and just a flap over my head....
To the more luxurious Bell Tent here
And a whole swag of other options dotted around this dreamy area
You will also find a gorgeous picnic area for daytrippers
And random canoes, laying around waiting to go into the water in the bay
Stunning little Dandelions dotted around the area
And the old Aussie 'Longdrop' deep in the bush
But what you won't see here is a proper shower block. That is totally up to you to provide for yourself and that is true camping.
What you will see here is that the campground is on a headland, not only surrounded by the stunning Bittangabee Bay on the northern side, but also a smaller bay on the Southerly side.
And this headland is what you are looking out on from the campground.
And out there you will see 2 Sailboats leaping over the waves
(I LOVE my new zoom lens...π..)
And this is looking north back into Bittangabee Bay
And this is the waves crashing onto the rocky point at the far side of the northerly headland (and did I tell you just how much I love my zoom lens...π..)
And this is looking south across to the other headland
And this is the water crashing directly below me!
And these are what we call Tick trees....
And this is where I will leave you tonight, with a question, thinking about tick trees, what are they and where are they and why are they so important.....πππ€£ππ
Anyway, I hope that you enjoyed #4 of my Wild and wonderful WednesdaWalk and it made you smile like it #makemesmile @ elizachang too!
And please, make sure you check out my previous #WednesdayWalk posts on this amazing area so you can plan your next holiday here in Australia, because we are just about to open out international borders to travelers after 2years!
