Porcelain Queen | illustration [ENG-ESP]

Hello bloggers, how are you? Happy start of the week to all of you. Today I come to show you my last illustration. This time I wanted to make a somewhat cartoonish portrait in cold tones. Inspired by the circus makeup style, and I mixed it with another style of art. I'll tell you how it was done and the step by step as always let's go there.

Hola blogueros¿ como están? feliz inicio de semana para todos. Hoy vengo a mostrarles mi ultima ilustración. Esta vez he querido hacer un retrato un tanto caricaturesco en tonos fríos. Inspirado en el estilo de maquillaje circense, y lo mezcle con otro estilo de arte. Te cuento como fue hacerla y el paso a paso como siempre, vamos allá.

⚪ Process/ Proceso

As I said; for this illustration, I was inspired by some make-up I've seen where girls with circus or jester themed make-up appear, the kind with lines going through the eyes. So I went ahead and did the sketch; a girl with a crown made of paper, just like her Lechuguilla; which is that folded neck in the shape of a scarf.

Como dije; para esta ilustración, me inspiré en algunos maquillajes que he visto donde aparecen chicas maquilladas con temática de circo o de bufón, de esos con líneas atravesando los ojos. Así que me puse en marcha e hice el boceto; un chica con corona hecha de papel al igual que tu Lechuguilla; que es ese cuello doblado en forma de bufanda.

This time I went for the cool colors. In recent weeks I have realized that I am very attracted to use these tones. So for this drawing I used light blue, violet, pink, among others. The most difficult thing was not to paint the face, but rather to distribute those tones in a way that they were not thrown at random.

Esta ocasión me deje llevar por los colores fríos. En las ultimas semanas me he dado cuenta que me atrae mucho utilizar estos tonos. Así que para este dibujo utilice tonos celestes, violetas, rosa, entre otros. Lo mas difícil no fue pintar el rostro, si no mas bien distribuir esos tonos de una manera que no se vieran lanzados al azar.

I felt very comfortable doing this drawing, because it is a style that is not too far from mine and I know that little by little I can improve it. This time I made big eyes and a small mouth, because I wanted to represent a porcelain doll. And also for coloring I felt comfortable because the texture had to be smooth. I only used the brushes that I have been using for some time.

Me sentí muy cómodo haciendo este dibujo, porque es un estilo que no se aleja mucho al mío y que se que poco a poco puedo ir mejorando. Esta ocasión hice ojos grandes y boca chica, porque quería representar una muñeca de porcelana. E igual para colorear se me hizo cómodo pues como la textura debía ser lisa. solo emplee los pincelazos que vengo usando ya hace un tiempo.

When I finish a drawing I usually don't make any more changes after that. If I do make them, they are minimal details of lights, or of tones but very small ones that don't make a big difference. But this time I sent this drawing to my beautiful Hive account@oscariart ; who is also an excellent artist on this platform. She told me that it would be a good idea to add some metallic details in her accessories because it gave her the impression of being a queen. So I added those glitter details on her crown, Lechuguilla and a few on her dress. I love the result, I'm so happy she did it, thanks to her. And that was it, what did you think?

Cuando termino un dibujo normalmente no hago mas cambios posterior a ello. Si los llego a hacer son detalles de luces mínimas, o de tonos pero muy pequeños que no representan mayor diferencia. Pero esta vez envié este dibujo a mi bella Hive account@oscariart ; que también es una excelente artista de esta plataforma. Ella me dijo que seria buena idea agregar algunos detalles metalizados en sus accesorios pues a ella le daba la impresión de ser una reina. Así que agregue esos detalles de brillo en su corona, Lechuguilla y unos tantos en su vestido. Me encanto el resultado, Estoy muy feliz que así lo haya hecho, gracias a ella.
