CRO, BTCi, ZWQT, and HDIF
If you look back in the Great Little Dragons posts you will notice that and
were regular posts each week. Then they stopped a couple of weeks ago.
Two reasons:
- First reason: They were time consuming to write
- Second reason: There was a cap on CRO rewards so nothing came in the last two weeks (at least from the VISA side).
Of course there were also fees to consider. Every time LTC is sent to HIVE there is a network fee. When the amounts are small the fee adds up.
Also there was the chain of transfers. Moving CRO meant a lot of steps:
Now with the swap.LTC : GLD pool it should be easier and with fewer fees.
Dividends back to HIVE
In addition to bringing in new FIAT to Hive I mentioned that two accounts:
and this account
would be converting GLD-->NFT's which would shadow different stocks. The actual transfers and accounting steps are not quite ready but the underlying investments are paying dividends.
gldloan.test holdings
ZWQT.to x1
BTCi x1
HDIF.to x1
cinderclaw.gld holdings
HDIF.to x1
Monthly additions
As dividends on those stocks are monthly and CRO would be easier to do monthly and I convert FIAT cash to CRO before sending to HIVE it seemed like moving to one monthly addition to HIVE would save on time and fees.

One thing I found interesting
One thing I found interesting about this exchange. I didn't have to involve either the HIVE or the HBD coin. The GLD coin can stand on its own without having to drop down to the native HIVE. I'm not entirely sure of the implications of that but it was still interesting to me.
In future months I think that I will still do one further conversion for the CRO that I get from my VISA rewards. committed to seeing how many HIVE it could purchase using nothing more than cashback rewards with the credit card. However, even with that I now have a direct way to get GLD from swap.LTC and I don't have to convert to swap.hive and pay the fee to transfer to regular HIVE. I can just use my internal bot for the conversion.
I love saving on fees :)
Final thought?
What better way to celebrate my 50th post than to show that YES I am extracting value from HIVE to buy investments off chain but YES I am committed to HIVE's long term financial stability by reinvesting those dividends back into the chain.
In my humble opinion that is the true growth cycle of a "Great Little Dragon"
Use HIVE to give the dragon its spark.
Use GLD to convert HIVE to real world investments
Use those real world investments to support HIVE
.... so other little dragons can follow suit and get bigger also.
