The very concept of ‘sustainability’ in homesteading has long been both a means of keeping people off of the land and, for those who are already on it, keeping them striving and straining (rather than thriving and evolving). As 
and I are not following either of these methods, and as we believe fully in Flow, Living In Gift, and in the meek inheriting the earth, we have entirely alternative treasure coming to us from the land and our mission is to make these riches available to the wider world community.
Just because we are not earning any money right now from our Art., nor an adequate level of nourishment purely from our land, nor having a weatherproof shelter over our heads, nor the resources to do any repairs or to install the basic amenities that most of modern society takes for granted – DOES NOT MEAN that we are in any way blocked from moving our vision and purpose forward. Even if we cannot see it ourselves on certain days!

Our tension around not earning currently has certainly felt super challenging, but our fears pale into insignificance when we immerse ourselves in the true reason that we are NOT in the mainstream, not on the treadmill of income and expenditure, and not resting back into the conventional comforts of a more sterile life. It takes a while to gain perspective; emotions are natural within the container of any massive change like we are making, and they need a place to go. This is not the kind of landscape in which we can be calm and collected about everything that is transpiring around us: this is the most dynamic of lifestyles and the most potent phase of our steep-issimo learning curve.
In my Blessings Of Liberti discourse with The New Earth Sovereignty Academy we had a suggested exercise based on “the 21 Universal Laws” to explore one of the listed, to feel into how it can help us navigate what we are currently faced with. I chose Universal Law # 12: The Law Of Initiation – "Expect an initiation period, a time of learning before things come together. Everyone experiences challenges in
life, even when you’re on the right path! We’re given challenges for a reason so use them as an opportunity to learn and grow. They’ve been brought to us to make us even stronger on our mission in life" - I've spent some time shifting the fears that I’ve been holding around the extreme unknown of our vision manifesting in our #sovereignhomestead.
Fear can be truly blinding, and our shared fear has risen up multiple times in our first year and a half together, which is quite a combination to contend with! Two divine cocreators projecting from their tensions interwoven in yinyang unity… A rather solid catastrophised vision can appear! But we can now see this is simply part of the necessary ‘detoxing’ of our conditioning: in a twinflame relationship we can move through such seeming ‘ruts’ fairly rapidly; even if they seem really real, they are fleeting in the bigger scheme of things. Sometimes it takes a serious potential failure, to shake us into our strengths – into our manifesting power. Recognising what we are creating, and what we can better create.
We realised this week that we can’t ultimately do much with our property, without any funds. And the only large funding possibility we have immediately, is the (potential) sale of the beautiful Arthouse - but until that happens, we need to look at other funding realms, not just to keep us alive and functioning, but to actually manifest (the appropriate foundations of) the full vision.
Having confidence in our vision has been a wee bit difficult, amongst all the chaos, the dynamic situation on the land, and our having to juggle without the everyday basics. We have revelled in the chaos to some degree, but now being almost a year into our homesteading adventure, we are required to shift gear. The initiation phase is slowing, and we recognise our need to create structure, sense, plans: to reel in our vision, and to communicate with the world about it, in order to gain support and more phsyical momentum (rather than floaty, dreamy 'just bumbling along'!)
So our plans are beginning to be typed, sketched, outlined. We are considering a form of appropriate ‘crowd funding’, or borrowing against the sale of the house if we can find friends or family to help us bridge this particular time, whilst we begin creating a more tangible list of benefits and treasures that we can share with our inner circle – in the short, medium and long-terms.
The difficulty that Vincent and I have had in our lives in earning a steady income are very similar: our livingness, intelligence, absolute authenticity and our aversion to compromise. All have led us here, to our sovereign relationship with land and elements, to our quirky rapport with commerce, and to our increasing commitment to A New Earth: conventional systems rejecting our Gifts has been distracting and disempowering for a long time….. Until it isn’t any more.
Treating the Initiation Period as a phase rather than an identity has been a vital transitioning step. It is easy to take rejection personally, or to feel like a victim; in fact, all the evidence points us to a nice, comfy spot in the hierarchy, if we’re willing to embrace the ‘starving artist’ paradigm, and to position ourselves at the bottom of the provided pyramid, to receive the crumbs from above. I think too, that the availability of prescribed or offered structures to contain our identity is hugely tempting. It is so much easier to take anything that is already there, than to make something from nothing, on a tabula rasa.
Yes, there are plenty of funds, prizes and rewards/ attention and applause/ benefits and privileges for us, if we’re willing to dumb our vision down: to package it and brand it, label and sell it, under taxation and restrictions and being led by market forces and clicks, algorithms, AI and a terrible agenda. We are not that, and what we are sharing defies a box or a logo.
We are glad about that, and yet it is absolutely exhilarating and nerve-racking at the same time, to fully confess a Vision that we are called to. I've presented Vision after Vision in my life, had them rejected initially, made good of them, but then have had my vital forces completely drained by the ways in which folks have picked up my Vision and squashed it into a box (where there's no room for me to continue my work). We know that we have specific energy, wisdom and solutions to share, and they are HOLISTIC, IMMERSIVE and ACTUALLY SUSTAINABLE. Our vision is aligned with spiritual health and with regeneration of landscape and elemental interrelations.
As we've blogged about this past year, a lot of our initial work on the land (this first year) is simply watching it doing exactly what it is naturally doing. And acting ONLY from a deep knowing that we are guardians and not ‘owners’ (even if we do ‘own’ the land on paper). Our job is to work with and not against, in the most symbiotic and mind-full way that we possibly can. E basta. In the knowing that the land needs this of us, and that we can be an example of how to transition to harmonious natural ways, without compromising our creativity, our playfulness nor our unique expression. We have decades of immersive experience in cocreating purely and spontaneously, listening to our calling, and honing our focus to be rightly-aligned with the vastly-alternative reality that is coming.
