Ciao dear Needlework friends!
My sewing projects are expanding; I bought this 50c vintage thinnest-cotton nighty last week at the mercato... Then suddenly got inspiration to make a favourite summer item: a playsuit or romper.
The top photo is my binding put on the leg/ shorts hem....
I found a lot of great supplies when I reorganised my sewing stuff recently - including this beautiful old binding from my mum's or gran's sewing materials handed down: check out the two old price stickers!
I put in a gusset and am now planning a zip down the back, and a kind of belt with pockets hanging off.
It is a very slow project: I'm hand-sewing it all, between intensive garden clearing... I love finding the solution sliwly and organically, visioning each step as the fabric guides me 💗🎨🙏🌟😍
