So, I'm starting to get a method for getting the content that I want to feature here on the Curation. Basically, (unless it is particularly exceptional) it needs to have the #classical-music tag. I don't have enough time to chase down articles everywhere! And then, pretty much anything that is eventually resteemed from this account will also appear in this Curation.

I am generally looking for things are of a longer form and original performances (not other people's performances!).

Hive account@bernardtjames shares with us his complete album "Unresolved"! I will use his words to describe it:

I’m sharing my latest album “Unresolved” released towards the end of 2017.
This is my 4th original album that I am very proud of. It took me almost 2 years to compose and record it.

I started composing for the film and tv genre back in 2011. I would define my genre as classical-crossover and you could also label it as piano instrumental.

Listen and read about the composition of Little Explorer by Hive account@irelandscape. We often only hear the results of lots of work that the composers do to create their works. It's nice to have an inside view on what is going on to create our musical works of art!

From Hive account@noamlandsman we have a write up about ethnic instruments and music from Morocco!. I'm afraid I can't really do justice to explaining it, so follow the link through and read about it!

From Hive account@musicapoetica we have the last part in a 4 part series on Rhetoric in Music. In the Baroque and earlier eras, the idea that music WAS speech was paramount. Later forms of music started and eventually divorced speech from it's rhetorical roots. This is pretty dense reading, I would advise you start from Part 1!

Daniel Barenboim tries bridging the Middle East conflict with music from Hive account@olga2772 is an post linking through to some interviews about how people are trying to use music to build community in divided areas of the world.
