What a beautiful finch I saw here, it was so cute! The colors were almost golden brown on top of it's beak. I laid out birdseed and gourmet bakery muffins- Organic Cranberry with Pistachios! These birds made out, lol! In the winter time, the birds could use our help, I think it's nice to help out nature at times such as cold freezing weather where the birds cannot access their food sources on the ground as it is frozen and covered with snow. I saw them today in a bunch of branches they were all looking for food and some even ate the snow, lol! You can share all the birds I saw earlier and hopefully you can help me with their names. I love bird watching but need to be able to identify them more. There are a few facts I learned about birds...some you may of not known before.
Cardinals are beautiful! the male red color is so nice! I love the females orange beak.

5 FACTS ABOUT BIRDS:
- They will not freeze to death in the winter. They are especially equipped to deal with winter in several ways, they fluff their feathers and they also store fat in the shorter winter months. They are able to deal with far below zero. However, it is nice to help them out. Giving them food, water or shelter as well, shovel a little grass area for them and add seed. I try not to get it close to anything so a cat will not come and kill them but also Hawks can get them as well. I try to help them though as feeding nature in the cold winter months seems kind to me.
- Robins, other birds always fly south for winter, they do not. Robins, Blue Jays, Owls and other birds such as finches, etc. stay here throughout harsh winters.
The Blue tits Bird actually Steals Milk! I am guessing why they gave it that name, lol!
