Financial Security
refers to the peace of mind a person feel when you aren't worried about your income being enough to cover your expenses.
Many people all around the world want to be financially secured for them to be stable when they get older. All of the people goals that, but why do my fellow filipinos failed to be financially stable when they get older. Why dont they get rich? instead became poor as time goes by. Here is my opinions about the said matter
CRAB MENTALITY
The said term was coined in comparison to the way crabs behave that usually pull/drag each other down. Naturally Filipinos will deny, but unknowingly we behave this way.
As one of the family member finishes his/her study the majority of the family expenses will be answered. The younger sibling's educational expenses as well as the household bills such as electricity, water and house rent will be answered by the one who finishes his/her study.
Most of the Filipinos mindset is to finish their study to help their family, however this habit didn't really ascent the whole family in the chain of poverty. Answering all the bills in the household is not the true answer to ascent the said chains. What Filipinos truly need is not to pay all the expenses but to have opportunities.
Our parents didn't just give us money, they give us opportunity to finish our studies and escape the poverty cage.
Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day, teach a man how to fish and you feed him for a lifetime
Funny but make sense, as Filipinos give them the opportunity and not the money. They'll start to learn how to go fishing. It's not being cruel, its being smart to help them succeed also in life
