Me: I Have Writer's Block. Inner Me: You Were Never a Writer.

The worst part of having a few posts pay very well is having the next few pay next to nothing. It is difficult to appeal to an audience and stay true to yourself at the same time. The reduced payouts have and lack of inspiration have left me a little self defeated.

I am sure everyone consistently posting on steemit goes through the same emotions at one point or another. The old adage of if at first you do not succeed, try, try, again, applies here in my opinion. So if you do not have anything to write about, why not write about that?

Proper intention is the key factor in all of this so I will do my best to ensure this post is rewarding to me by itself. This makes the actual monetary rewards secondary to my own creative fulfillment. This feeling has led to my biggest successes on steemit and it is due to the interconnection of every thing.

It is a fractal universe that we live in so a post that brings joy and fulfillment to me will do the same to my reader. There is so much around us that proves this theory and my anecdotal favorite is "all people come from people". It does not get anymore fractal than that, every person comes from another person.

There is a great deal of adversity on this platform as in life, trust that the bigger the hill to climb the better the feeling at the top. I have been preaching this when others comment about how hard it is to succeed and how the system is actively being "gamed". Of course it is gamed, reality is a mmorpg and people will take and use every advantage they can. You can either do the same or excel so much that even in a gamed system you will succeed.

Bots, bots, bots, and more bots. Steemit is the first crypto I am aware of that can be jumped into face first by anyone in the world with zero technical knowledge. Prior to this one would have to at least download a wallet and backup a file and possibly enter one or two lines of code. Those hurdles were a filter that has been removed, for example my mother Hive account@mojojo is an active user and has little technical know how. I feel that lack of understanding can lead to insecurities about the mechanics working behind the scenes to make all of this possible.

For the last few days I have been spending some time attempting to setup a witness and miner. I consider myself technically inclined but the process is daunting. I plan to continue however and learn as much as possible. The way steemit is setup and designed I feel will be the format of web platforms in the future. Sooner I get a handle on it the better, one day I would like to replicate this system at a local city wide level.

That being said the mechanics are out there for everyone even if you cannot comprehend them. The same cannot be said about other platform similar to steemit. Yes there might be some shady business going on to game the system but I guarantee even more sinister things are happening on facebook, twitter, etc.

I am going to continue to post, work on my craft, and support the people of this platform because that is what is in my ability to control. Everything else is just macro problems that will work themselves out one way or the other. Hopefully I will not spend most of that time writing about having nothing to write about, but you never know.
