Had a great time this past Friday evening at the Scary Pockets show in the recently revived, and historic Asbury Lanes.
Scary Pockets performs a wide range of funked-up covers and is currently on their first East Coast tour. Here's the description from their YouTube channel:
My only regret was not getting to see founding member and keyboard player Jack Conti. Jack is the CEO of Patreon so it's understandable that he would be unable to participate in a multi-week tour.
For a fresh twist on some classic and modern pop songs, I highly suggest you check out Scary Pockets.
Asbury Lanes is an awesome small venue to see live music. They did a great job renovating this historic bowling alley while keeping its vintage vibe.
It has an attached Diner that serves local beer on tap and food that can be ordered at a window within the bowling alley. The venue's sound and lighting is also great!
Locally brewed beer, great food, live music, and even bowling if that's your thing - what's not to like?
