Hi everyone!
For a start, I am relatively new to crypto and Splinterlands.

Managed to find out about Splinterlands through some videos on Youtube. I guess it would be interesting to blog and document my journey as I learn more about the game, attempting to improve my skills and hopefully earn through this game.
In case you are wondering, Splinterlands first caught my attention mainly because it was a card-based game, as I have had past experience dabbling in different card games, from Hearthstone, Shadowverse, Gwent, Magic: The Gathering to Legends of Runeterra. To be honest, aesthetics was quite an important factor for me and Splinterlands card art didn't exactly left a good first impression, but hey I still decided to learn more about it before making the final judgment. After all, one shouldnt judge a (spell)book by its cover.

I decided to choose Splinterlands as my first play-to-earn game for two reasons:
- it seemed fun (as a card game) and 😙
- it wasn't too expensive to get into.
For a start, you have to purchase a spellbook for USD$10. I think it is a reasonable price if you compare it to the typical computer/mobile games, and even more so if you compare against the other play-to-earn games. Truth be told, I am someone who is very careful about spending money on games but Splinterlands just felt like a worthy investment for some reason. The way I see it: I'm investing money, not just only for money, but also for fun.
Today is my third day playing Splinterlands now as I've been trying to set up my crypto wallet to invest small bits into the game to do some renting and progress in the game. In the meantime, I'm reading up as much as I can about the game and also putting theory into practice. Currently I am sitting at 297 rating, 103 more to Bronze II but I would require 1000 Power.

I'm also keeping track of all the cards in a spreadsheet, in an attempt to understand the game better as I read and document each card down, and hopefully I can sort and analyze the cards, which might help to better my skills.

I intend to document down my daily (if possible) journey and perhaps note down learning points which I hope beginners (like me) can benefit from.

But no obligations, do whatever makes you happy :)
(Bonus: Another aspect that I really like about Splinterlands is the social aspect)
Alright, signing off here and hope that I can cultivate a consistent writing habit.
