Providing clean water to communities that have been lacking it has been a remarkable initiative thus far.Under the Hive Empowers Communities project nine communities who had faced challenges accessing good drinking water, making it a truly wonderful endeavor. What sets this project apart is its ability to bring about significant improvements in the lives of many individuals in deprived communities, granting them free access to water. Moreover, it also serves as a testament to the immense potential of Hive on a global scale.
In this post, we are excited to share an update with the Hive community regarding the second borehole project in the Northern Region of Ghana. Recently, the successful launch of the first borehole took place in Chanshegu, making it readily available for the community's use. This borehole now serves the residents who were previously reliant on an untreated water source from a dam.
The construction of the second borehole is set to take place in the same region, specifically in Ghanyamli, a town situated in the Tamale metropolitan district of Ghana. Before making Ghanyamli the next community to receive the Hive Borehole, we conducted a survey in the town. This survey was carried out by our team in the North, in conjunction with the drilling company responsible for the operations.
In all of our projects, it is the community leaders that generously provides us with a piece of land free of charge. They also assist us in securing a storage location for all project materials and support us supervision throughout the project work. This is precisely why engaging with the town leaders when embarking on any Hive community projects is always important. We recently had a successful meeting with the town chief and other stakeholders to ensure that the community collaborates with us, guaranteeing a smooth operation.
After engaging with the community, they have expressed their readiness to work with us in order to bring the project to fruition. We are hopeful that we can commence with the first phase of the project this week, provided that everything goes according to plan. According to our project schedule, we have proposed a three-week timeline for the completion of the work.
All workers who will be involved in the borehole project have been contracted and are prepared to contribute their expertise to ensure successful completion. At each stage of the project, we will make sure to engage with the Hive community and provide the necessary updates as we reach different levels of development.
We are well aware that we would not have come this far without the support we consistently receive from the Hive community, and we are immensely grateful for it. We would like to extend special gratitude to and the entire team who are working tirelessly to help Hive change lives and spread awareness about Hive to a broader audience.
