As the name suggests, resteem bots are accounts that resteem your blog posts to their followers, usually for a small fee. These accounts usually have substantial amounts of followers so it potentially allows your post to be seen by thousand more Steemians. The majority of these work the same way - you send a predetermined amount to their wallet along with your link in the memo and they will then resteem this to all their followers.
There are so many of these accounts sending me memos daily now that I sometimes don't know which are ones are legitimate and which ones are just out to take your SBD.
I thought I would share some of the resteem bots that I have used and had success with:
- I have been using this sporadically since I joined Steemit and never had any issues. To use Resteemy send 0.1SBD and you link as the memo and it will resteem to over 5000 followers. Resteems usually happen within a few minutes, and
- To use resteembot send your reputation score/1000 - so for me 0.051SBD to resteembot with your blog link as the memo and get resteemed to nearly 6000 followers. the only problem I have with this service (I no longer use it), is that you have to follow their blog to use it.
@resteem.bot - To use resteem.bot send 0.2SBD and your link as the memo to be resteemed to nearly 18,000 followers. Resteems usually happen within a few hours.

, both with over 1,000 followers. The bonus with using this service is that both of these accounts also upvote your post :)
- This is a free (donations appreciated) resteem service. This account has around 2,700 followers. To get your free resteem all you need to do is erase the http:// from your post and then type ‘re’ infront of the url.
Some other considerations
Should I follow the resteem bots?
As I mentioned above
requires you to be a follower to use their service. My suggestion is not to use these services. Why? If you follow these bots then your feed will be full of resteemed posts, and it will make it even harder to find and read posts of the people you actively follow. Some people may enjoy following these for the variety of posts being resteemed, but for me I like to keep my feed as simple as possible so I can engage with those I am interested in.
Timing when using resteem bots
Because of the nature and design of Steemit, your posts generally have the most visibility (in terms of new eyes anyway) in the first few hours after posting - this is when they will appear on the ‘new’ or if your lucky ‘hot’ page. For this reason I don't see the logic in using resteem bots within the first few hours of posting your blog post. I have found that it has been effective to use them when the post is about 2 - 3 days, as it brings new eyes who wouldn't otherwise see the post.
