A Wild Saturday Night - Battling Steem Monsters

You know you've officially become a nerd when your idea of a fun Saturday night is cozying up by the fire with a glass of wine and playing Steem Monsters.

Like all good stories - it started with just one quick battle. After winning that one with a new team, I thought I'd try my luck again... and again... and again. I was on a serious roll last night! I think I lost 3 out of 35 battles? Something like that.

What Was My Winning Team?

Well, I actually ended up alternating between two different variations of a 15 mana blue team.

Blue Team # 1 - Mischievous Mermaid, Pirate Captain and Medusa.

My Battle Strategy

Ok... Hive account@jarvie cover your ears because I know this will make you cringe. I picked those teams because I FELT like it. No other reason. I just had fun throwing random cards together and battling.

Will this strategy get me to the top of the leaderboard or winning any big tournaments? Probably not. Do I always play this way? No... sometimes I'm more intent on picking teams strategically.

So why am I bringing this up?

Because I want to show people that are may be hanging on the outskirts of Steem Monsters that you don't have to understand everything about the game to get started. It can be overwhelming to understand mana cap, splinters, melee attacks, armor, health etc. But you really don't need to have it all down to start building your way up the rankings and having fun. After all - I was just sipping on wine and having fun randomly picking cards last night and I still ended up with a big winning streak.
