That long weekend is coming. The one where we go to stores and fight over parking spots and the last of the yams and then go home and cook for eight hours and eat food with relatives that remind us why we forget that we know them for the rest of the year. Then we go back out, bellies full, fight over parking spots and waddle mindlessly through loud stores looking at prices that call themselves sales but are really just pre-pandemic nostalgia and explain to our kids why it's called Black Friday when it's still Thanksgiving and that's always on a Thursday, you're right, kiddo, what the fuck are we doing here let me out let me out let me out let me out let me out let me out let me out let me out let me out let me out let me out let me out let me out let me out.
As for me, well, I'm a self-imposed orphan a majority of the year.
Long weekends are for open roads.
I've got five days.
Haven't picked a road yet.
Any suggestions?
