Hello fellow Steemians,
Let me introduce you myself. My online handle is Crafty and I am a crypto enthusiast. I learned about bitcoin back in 2013 and got hooked on to it soon, however I got some setback with poor decisions and bad luck.
Back in 2013 I was an active miner. I learnt about bitcoin and altcoins and got very excited, however I made a couple of mistakes in the beginning.
The first and most significant mistake was to buy miners from eBay. Trust me on this. The prices on eBay will always be 3 to 4x the price they got it for and this price will never ROI by pure mining unless you hold the coins and the coins eventually give you good returns.
I am sure there will be a lot of people that are just starting in crypto world and mining may seem attractive to them.
My biggest advice to them would be to think otherwise. Mining is not as straight forward as it looks. And even if you have made up your mind about mining, please do not buy the miners from eBay and instead just buy and hold the coins they believe in for long term.
The bad luck I had was that I sent all my bitcoins that I mined to MtGox. As oyu may be aware of the fact that MtGox got bankrupt and I lost all that money. I am still waiting for the claim to settle however this made me think otherwise about crypto in general.
I got interested again after 3 long years and now regret as to why I left it in the first place :)
I know its full of poor decisions and bad luck, however here I am again, and hoping that this fresh entry will be better than last time.
I am glad I found about Steemit and hope to share more experiences and learn from others experiences in crypto world.
I have recently bought some POSTokens, which I felt are a good investment and I created a simple minting spreadsheet to check the most effective way to mint. Please check it out here.

I am a software engineer myself and have a pretty good handle on excel spreadsheets etc. Please feel free to request some utilities you may want to see which will help the community and I will try and build those in excel.
Thanks for taking time and reading my post.
