Hey everyone, it is no secret that I really do love nature, anything nature related from birds to bees, flowers to tree's. The other day I spotted a most amazing butterfly and I just had to capture it. I literally chased this beauty down for 20 minutes flying around a park close to me, taking off landing and doing it all again, almost playing with me as if to say if you want the perfect shot I will make you work for it and he certainly did, and then it happened...
I literally took these top few pics from around 30cm away from this amazing specimen and he didn't budge, well pose maybe.. I took the most amazing pics from both sides. On this one you can even see the proboscis extended and the butterfly feeding..

Now for the 'run around' pre-mid flight pics. I must have ran a kilometer or two in search of the amazing shot.
I can't actually believe I managed to catch him in mid flight as many times as I did it was really great and the mid-flight pics aren't the worst either ;)
Mid-flight from around a meter off the ground, I caught this with my cell phone camera. I actually feel that my photography skills are greatly improving, now to save up for a proper camera and do it like a real pro.
