The First To Fall
The mainstream media was the victim of the left. Once trusted, the corporate news media was a powerful entity in America. That is of course, until they squared up with Trump and lost. Trump beat the media whether they like to admit it or not and he beat them bad. A recently Harvard poll suggests that 65% of viewers believe the mainstream media is "fake news." I suspect that number is actually much lower and I have seen similar polls that show as low as 3% polled trust the media. The media has a giant problem that they refuse to address and its only making things worse for them. Their coverage is blatantly dishonest. Its so blatantly dishonest that even people who don't support Trump can recognize its absurd. Add the fact that people don't trust the media in the first place with the nothing burger that is the Russia conspiracy theory pushed by the media and you'll end up with distrust.
When Players Drive NFL PR
The left certainly got really hopped up on social justice warrior kool-aid for this one. This was the most perplexing move the left has made thus far. I don't know who made the decision to let players continue a wildly unpopular decision to protest our anthem as a ill explained way to protest police brutality but I love it. The left is usually really careful in their propaganda. The trick is to make the left seem like the good guys and anyone who disagrees, a hitler-esque monster. NFL players are not usually known for their PR tactics so you can imagine my shock when this turned out to be a disaster for the league. It was never stated out loud, that the protests where against police brutality. It was said in some interviews and whatever but to the average viewer all they see is a super rich player disrespecting the country that gave them that platform.
The Fire In Hollywood
This is a really big one. The Harvey Weinstein situation is one that I did not expect. Hollywood has been building up leftists for a long time now so its really great to finally see the people who anointed them getting some pay back. Its really interesting that Hollywood has been able to conceal their sexual abuse problem for so long with so many leftists around but the cat is out of the bag and the witch hunt is underway. Hollywood has many dark secrets so there may be more to come but for now we'll just have to sit back and hope for the best. The left is going to demand that powerful men step aside and offer their positions to women etc. Hollywood was the last place the future was supposed to be female but they've ignited the powder keg on themselves. I'm interested to see going forward just how hard it is for Hollywood to sweep this Weinstein thing under the rug. They've done it before but this one seems different. It seems bigger.
