As you know, I love take pictures of nature. I like being in touch with nature, it's something that makes me very calm. That's part of me. :sunny:
A few days ago I took a picture of a Dandelion:
Scientific classification:
Kingdom: Plantaee
Order: Asterales
Family: Asteraceae
Category: Taraxacum
Species: T. officinale
Curiosities about the Dandelion:
This plant was already called the "dent-de-lion" by the Gallic Normans, one of the many peoples who inhabited the region we now call France in the Middle Ages.
The name is probably due to the shape of the leaves, which would resemble lion's teeth. When England was conquered by the Normans in 1066, the Saxons (who then inhabited England) created, from the name "dent-de-lion", the dandelion variation that until today is the popular name given to the plant in the countries of English language.
Hope you like my photo and post

Kisses for everyone
