Just a short hop to the east of Rio, Búzios is a charming, peaceful beach town surrounded by green, forested hills and a turquoise-colored ocean. Many of Rio’s locals head here for weekend getaways or to get out of the city during the high tourist season. The area is known for its world-class scuba diving and snorkeling, made perfect by its crystalline waters and laid-back atmosphere.
How to get there:
The trip lasts about two hours. After crossing the Rio-Niterói bridge, take the left towards Rio Bonito. Shortly after Rio Bonito, turn right - Via Lagos, towards Araruama/Cabo Frio (Região dos Lagos). At the end of Via Lagos, continue for 5 km and go up a small overpass that accesses highway RJ-106, and take the direction of Macaé/Búzios. After 14 km (right after the gas station called "Até que enfim"), turn right and continue for about 10 minutes until Búzios.

my fauvorite beach:
1 Brava Beach is beautiful and wild, Brava beach is divided into two parts: on the first part, there are kiosks and restaurants with beautiful views of the sea. Walking on the rocks you will reach the other side which is quieter and less crowded. From there you will find a trail leading to Olho de Boi beach, a nudist haven. It’s also a place where local fisherman ‘s catch their fish in the morning. You can realax and chill in the beach with your couple or friends.
2 The Azeda beach has calm and clear waters and is accessible by a cobblestone street from Ossos beach. There are two ways to get there. I suggest you walk from Ossos Beach until the end of the right side to reach Azeda where you will be able to see an amazing view of the whole Azeda beach when you reach the top of the hill leading to Azeda. To return, you can catch a water taxi and enjoy the water and the brisk sea touch on your body. You will also get a different view- the land from the sea. Azeda beach is one of the most charming beaches in Brazil.
