I would like to share one of my previous Art work entitled "The Craving", have you ever experienced working on the office and suddenly you start crave for something?. Well, thanks to that hunger, I was able to draw this "foodporn" thingy and stop my craving for a moment. So I decided to create food from paper, I mean who doesn't love food right? I started drawing all sorts of food that i know I can't ate during that time. It feels like their floating in your head waiting to be drawn or maybe I'm just hungry.
I took a bond paper, pencil and pastel color(Pentel brand) coz for me it's so easy to smudge, doesn't peel off and it has a bright color compared to other pastel brands. Let your imagination fly and let your hand to its thing, I'm not gonna give a step by step process , coz I didn't thought that I'll be posting it here on steemit, so to help you out guys I'll be giving tips on how to achieve this kind of drawing/painting.
Tips:
📌When rendering your work try to set your light first, on my work I placed the light on the upper right corner of my drawing, that means on the lower left of the drawing i'll put some shading, coz it's the opposite of the light where shadows are formed.
📌Paint a base color on your artwork before putting everything, this will help you to match the color you're putting on the drawing.
example: on my burger I painted the entire burger with light brown before painting the details.
📌Try painting dark color for the background to emphasize your drawing, though it depends on what part of the drawing you're trying to show off.
📌Try to combine any color, you'll be amaze on the outcome. It's a bit risky if you don't have any experience in painting but it's worth a try.
I posted it on my Instagram account Last October as my WIP (Work in progress), you can visit my Instagram account for proof and you can also follow me there.
