God loves an obedient heart. The will of God is the most important thing we should desire to fulfill throughout the remaining days we have on this earth. Jesus did not hesitate to obey the will of God. Even down to his dying breath He still did not deviate from the will of His father.
Sometimes we may think that we know what we are doing but if it is not the will of God for our lives then we are out of context no matter how successful we may be at it. It may look to us like we are making progress but in the eyes of God we are actually stagnant.
Our lives should be pleasing to God and we cannot achieve this if we do not carry out the will of God. God said in His Word that if we love Him that we would obey His commandments. There is no two ways about it. Therefore, we are obligated to carry out His will with the whole of our hearts.
