For us to attain victory over any struggle in life especially in the area of addiction is to be open before God. We need to understand that there is absolutely nothing we can hide from God. God speaking in the book of Jeremiah said that "before he I formed you I knew you."
He is fully aware of everything we are facing and going through. In order to break free from addictions we need to uncover anything we are hiding be plain and honest. The bible say that anyone who hides his sin would not proper. Such battle is not something that we try to keep secret forever, instead we just hand them over to God in total surrender.
No one is condemned for being weak, but the person should be intentional about seeking for the help of God. God is ever ready to help us but would not render us the help we desire if we do not get Him involved.
Trying to rely on our strength can lead to experiences of disappointments. Getting God involved is like getting a physician when having challenges in our health. God is always willing to heal those who are in need of healing of any kind. 2 Corinthians 19:9 says His grace is sufficient to support us when ours fail.
