A couple of days ago, SteemProjects.com officially launched, a replacement for SteemTools.com which provides an overview of apps built on top of Steem. It's the best place to find cool apps that you can use to improve your Steem experience.
I've been trying for a long time to get my Steem apps (Steem Observatory, but more importantly Columns for Steem) listed on SteemTools, especially since SteemTools is linked to from the Steemit.com website (in the sidebar), but to no avail. The maintainer(s) of the site have been ignoring my submissions, after more than a month of waiting I tried emailing them, but I never got a reply. SteemProjects didn't ignore me, so I'm very happy about the popularity it is gaining and hope Steemit will link to it instead in the future, so that it becomes the new official repository of Steem based apps.
And it looks like SteemProjects is already helping me a lot, the unique amount of daily users of Columns for Steem have been about 10 the past few weeks, but after SteemProjects launched, it's now gotten up to 50. Still very few users, still very few people that know that it exists, but the situation doesn't look as dire anymore as it did before.
This is especially good news to me because my articles on Steem, which made hundreds of dollars last year and more than a thousand in total, haven't made more than cents this whole year and maybe $10 in total, so this new interest in Columns for Steem gives me a real incentive to just keep working through this bad phase instead of giving up on Steem completely.
So a big thanks to for creating SteemProjects, and if you haven't yet, go check it out and find some cool Steem apps to try out!
