I couldn't resist tonight as it was too tempting so a quick power up tonight to hit 200K Hive Power. This has taken 8 years and 1 month to achieve so it was going to happen sooner or later. Kind of scary when you realise 97 months is a chunk of time and one could say it has been a labor of love. 200K is definitely a milestone on the journey and this is still the start even though 8 years is not telling the true story as this is really good fun and more like 8 years of entertainment.
Starting out from 0 it takes time to get the wheels turning and is probably the toughest time and why one needs to stick with it even if it is a struggle. Too many people give up these days and do not challenge themselves to see it through. I can only imagine what these individuals are like in real life as HIVE in many ways can reveal so much about someone. If you can tough it out here then you are more prepared for anything that life throws at you.
I think this growth chart tells the true story of the early day struggles with the first 12 months on HIVE managing 3K HP growth. The real kick start was when we forked from the old chain and HIVE started back in March 2020. The extra HP powered down and staked allowed the extra boost growing from 15K to 30K. You have to be in it to benefit and this was a lucky break. From July 2020 the growth has been steadily going upwards and as you can see not one power down so this is all from 0 and if I can do this any account can.
Never even knew this account existed and you only find out once you reach certain milestones. This is like one big monetary game that opens up new features at different levels. I like the idea the more stake you have the more support you can now offer others and help them on their HIVE journey. You cannot grow on your own on HIVE and why you need to build connections and support in order to grow. For some reason you are kind of competing against others around you because the aim is to climb up the ladder and eventually one day reach being a whale which I believe is somewhere in the 630K HP range.
With the HIVE APR currently at 4.46% powering up and growing is a no brainer as this is the time to try and leap ahead. The 4.46% will not be around forever and one of these days will be back at 3% again. This alone is worth an extra 10 HIVE per day for my growth and why this period has many benefits. The HIVE price may be bad, but you cannot change that and must concentrate on the areas you can influence. In crypto we know everything can change in a couple of weeks so why worry and just keep on doing what you have been doing even if it is 8 years and counting.
