Last week I mentioned in a post I was gaining back lost ground after the hard fork with regard to the HIVE vote values. I took another look last night and it is kind of crazy to see how much the vote value has risen since. I was more than chuffed that I had equaled the vote value prior to the last HIVE hard fork which was 9.54 HIVE per 100% vote.
I have done some power ups since then and would not say this was going to be changing things so drastically, but the HIVE vote value is now well above 10 HIVE. Currently at 10.37 per 100% vote and has been as high as 10.50 which is mind blowing.
The HIVE vote value is how I judge my growth as this is what directly impacts your growth with regard to curation rewards. The last 6 days in real terms has offered me an extra .96 HIVE vote value which is offering those who I curate an extra 4.8 HIVE daily and the other 4.8 HIVE is directly going to the curation rewards so roughly an extra 144 HIVE being earned monthly.
This type of growth I never really see or expect to see as this I feel is not the normal and takes far longer to unlock these types of vote levels. Maybe it will drop down and level out again, but again who knows how this really works and why expecting nothing is far better than waiting for it to happen.
Stake is that important to our growth on HIVE or any other staking crypto protocol because this is what offers you the ability to earn more through rewards. HIVE is very different to all other crypto as it offers you the ability to earn in many ways besides just staking.
I know each and everyone of us is looking to grow and this is just sharing what is happening on my account which will hopefully inspire others to carry on growing and staking. This is so much fun when you see things like this happen as it justifies all the hours and work you have put in to growing your account. The ability to support and be able to reward others with a higher vote value whilst growing your own account is what this is all about as we need each other in order to grow.
This is why it is important to try and forget the price and focus on what you are doing as the more active you are the quicker one should grow. This does not happen overnight and why having lower expectations does help maintain the enthusiasm. This is over 8 years of work and dedication that has taken place to get to these points and kind of justifies that effort. I honestly had hoped one day to see a 10 HIVE vote value and possibly only next year so this is not something you plan for as it just happens when it happens. Who knows next week the vote value could be back under 10 or over 11 and I am just going with the flow these days with low expectations.
