Today at work, I got to thinking about a few things regarding the Steemit platform, and why one would enjoy submitting content on such a platform.
Helping others develop a better understanding of how there experiences, opinions, and own original content is actually worth value will be, in my own personal opinion one of the biggest keys to the success of the Steemit platform. Whether it ends up being a penny or five thousand dollars, at the end of the day it is something. I have seen many people who have used Instagram, and Facebook for many years who have made nothing from either. Some of these individuals even had a good amount of follower's as well. I am sure you guy's know tons of people who are so original, great at what they do, and have a massive amount of talent who have never been compensated for submitting there content to platforms like Facebook or Instagram.
Now for some perspective. I cant remember the exact dollar amount I received from the Steemit platform upon my registration, but I believe it was roughly $2.50. Some may say that is already 2X your initial investment. I say that is already $2.50 more then 90 percent of people who have accounts on Instagram or Facebook have ever been paid.
Facebook has been around for roughly 14 years, Instagram for 8 years, and YouTube for about 13 years. Within all of this time most of us have been contributing a lot of valuable videos, pictures, blogs, and other sorts of content for free. Essentially treating these sites like our taxes, living like mice in a cage running on our little wheel thing, thinking that it is ok to not get rewarded for our own hard work. The reality of the matter is, all of us as people have made these sites what they are today.
- Facebook is worth $500 billion
- Instagram is worth $102 billion
- YouTube is worth $85 billion
(Net worth's are estimates)
Would any of those numbers be possible without content creators like ourselves? I am pretty sure we all know the true answer to that question.
The Steemit platform and crypto in general offers something extremely symbolic, when it comes to people being in charge of what is rightfully there's. So lets keep spreading the word and continue to EVOLVE CRYPTO..... #steemit #dtube
My beliefs: Crypto will only fit peoples category of sustainability as we stop being creatures of habit, and stop only living life in lines that where not created by us. Once we as people obtain the amount of strength needed to adopt and legitimize what we want to believe, then the crypto space will possibly meet its full potential. Sustainability inside any economy is like these coins we value so much intangible. Most if not all governments around the world operate like a huge bitconnect platform and we all know it....
