Yesterday I had a successful dialysis because I was able to finish my dialysis session without my blood pressure crashing so much and it just swinged from dangerous 180/90 which caused me which I thought was a vertigo because of dizziness to a very relaxing 120/90 to 140/90 which is high for some but still "normal" (they say) for patients like me.
I also lament the fact that my blood pressure goes so high, it may mean some ominous thing for me that I even do not want to think about. But still I am trying to discover ways to make myself and my dialysis times better. And one way is to really combat blood pressure crashes because it hinders me from achieving a good and efficient dialysis because they would adjust the settings that would mean my eventual discomfort one way and another.
So I discovered one way to make my blood pressure not to crash by drinking energy drink that is similar to Red Bull. It is because it has some caffeine that momentarily raises blood pressure during my session. But caffeine in the Red Bull is also cleaned out by dialysis so as my blood pressure rises, the dialysis tries to clean it back down so my blood pressure won't go completely up or down.
So by the time my dialysis ends my blood pressure is normal again plus I get to enjoy the vitamin and extra nutrients and the happiness that the energy drink gave me. It is now almost all well and good and I will maintain that way everytime I go for dialysis.
