When I was still young in the 80's, the toys things that I do as a child is to play traditional games with my friends and that includes a lot of running and personal interactions with my friends. We play anything from touch the color to water gun battles and it was indeed fun. Among the toys that we use which comes in season would be like from collecting small cards we call "text" to making a firecracker hammer, that thing where you hit it on some hard place and it explodes because the part that hit has a small black powder cake that we buy from the nearest store. It was all fun and memorable even though there is no Internet and gadgets.
Now I see that children are exposed to this technologies that should be helping them especially with their school work, heck they can be as much more knowledgeable than their teacher if given the circumstance, they can just google things and learn at a click or tap. But I see a different effect of these technologies, I am referring to the Internet and the vehicle for it like the different gadgets out there that we use. Now our children are exposed not only to the good that they can find in it to enrich their knowledge but the Internet can also corrupt their young minds when the time comes that their curiosity goes over the wall. They can go to bad websites which are for adults only or even in the sites or forums that promotes hordes of illegal activities like drugs or pornography.
This realization just makes the future and present generation evolve in a whole new level where their fate is somewhat influenced not only by their families but now it will include the whole world to form them and make what they will become. Now it will really depend on their family or parents how a child can be protected from the dangers of the online world but instilling a good morality unto a child would help by educating values that they must follow strictly at an early age to discern what is good and what they have to stay from could save them from being corrupted by the dangers of the Internet.
