So, we all know that Steemit is THE hub for the crypto lifestyle - a place to find out about news and events in our community and launch amazing projects like @utopian.io, Vessel etc. We see #shop as the next great Steemit idea, so to explain:
#shop can be used to find products available on Steemit for purchase, introducing Steemit to the eCommerce market. While we are the first company using this tag and promoting our products on Steemit, we also encourage as many companies as possible to use Steemit's free market and promote the #shop tag themselves with their own products. We encourage this because it will increase the traction the #shop tag receives and in return serve as a win/win/win situation for us as a company, other companies looking to enter the crypto retail marketplace, and Steemit as it will generate unique and repeat visitors to the platform.
Attracting businesses to Steemit
As Entrepreneurs that have evolved through the eCommerce industry for 10+ years we have witnessed massive transitions. When we first started as a company the price of the Amazon stock was only $70 compared to over a thousand now. As a company, we benefited from Amazon's eCommerce business model. We have sold over 500 000 products within the space and now we see Steemit and crypto currency as the next big opportunity!!! Just as we witnessed 1000’s of companies list their products on Amazon we envision the same on Steemits #shop . While we will be launching this idea, it is with the vision and expectation that businesses follow our plan and entwine themselves as well onto the Steemit platform using #shop.

While Steemit has liberated the average user/blogger, companies are still stuck in the dark ages of social media in Facebook and Twitter, watching the productivity of these websites lower each day. Steemit can function as an easy way for companies to migrate to new age of social media, Steemit!
