Some of us working in big corporate felt the changes when the switch over was performed from cubicles to open space. Being isolated was said to be unproductive, while in the open space everything would be shared more easily and you could faster get answered at your questions or move from on desk to the other and talk work related.
But with the open space ... soon some challenges emerged. What do you do with all that noise around you that you don't need it or you are not interested in? To respond to this new necessity, Future Life Factory (the design studio for Panasonic) ended up to build cubicles for our faces, while keeping the open space as a freedom that we have won ourselves. While the employees are looking now as some donkeys, nobody talks about, but for sure we need at least to give it a smile for this "revolutionary" product.
The features of the Wear Space gathers multiple features like vision obscure, noise-cancelling headphones, microphone and a...stupidity look and feel :). And the price is just a steal, only 260$ for whom is crazy enough to buy them :)
But, there are some voices...probably from out of space...that support this product.
“As open offices and digital nomads are on the rise, workers are finding it ever more important to have personal space where they can focus. Wear Space instantly creates this kind of personal space – it’s as simple as putting on an article of clothing.”
