Greetings Fabulous Felines and Hoomans of Hivelandia and surrounding communities!

Once again the weekend is upon us, and that means it's time for a new round of cat photos for the Caturday update!

The Hoomans are enjoying a long holiday weekend, because this weekend includes Memorial Day on Monday — known as Remembrance Day in some parts of the world — so everything is closed and we all get to do our own thing.

We don't have anything in particular planned, although it seems a lot of Hoomans go and have picnics on this day. We're avoiding that because the Dad-Hooman says that the people who predict the weather say it's going to rain all day.

Not much fun for them, of course, but we have plenty of things we can do here that are indoors and that we cats can be part of.

Since the Hoomans will not be gardening if it's raining, they will probably be working on their arts and crafts projects inside and that means we will have something to supervise while they work! As everybody knows, most creative endeavors are best enjoyed with a cat... or several.

Of course we were all rather alarmed by the Hive-Engine hack and loss of some system crypto.

It's just sad home many dishonest Hoomans are out in the world... just traying to take advantage of others, rather than creating their own thing, with their own ideas. It does not sit well with this cat, to say the least!

Although it was not a formal part of my Hive goals, we have now reached 800 posts of Caturdays and other posts with cat photos!

One some level, I feel pretty good about having stuck to the blog for over eight years and keeping up with our rotating crew of feline friends. Of course Shadow — the original "Curator Cat" — is still front and center!

Of course, we hope to keep going for many more years... providing, of course, that Hive continues to be "a thing" which we very much hope it does.

We have really enjoyed the people (and cats!) we have gotten to know in this community, and it's much friendlier than the "big" social media venues.

There are a number of other feline communities listed on Hive, but I am not sharing them for now as they have not had any activity (by their Admins OR users) since the Steem/Hive fork. Updates as they become available!
