Almost in tandem with the slumping price of Steem, I have noticed a decline in the participation levels, here on Steemit.
I am still out there, being about as active as I have ever been — more active, actually, thanks to a couple of delegations I was gifted — but I am noticing that more and more of the people I usually follow have more or less "dropped out."
I recently joined 's "Refish Power-Up League" because I was seeking more activity... and I am glad others are doing that, as well.
But the decline in activity leads me to the question: "What inspires us to keep going, even when things look bleak?"
Moreover, why do some people quit, while others keep going?
I know a lot of people around here keep saying "it's because of the rewards."
Maybe so, but won't being extra active during this downturn position you even BETTER for when things come back? Or do you simply not believe things WILL come back?
Questions, questions...
Shoot me a comment if you feel like it; what inspires YOU? And/or, what is DIS-couraging you?
I hope everyone is doing well out there!
