What a week I predicted it to be! So many top players on the leaderboard and come from behind victory from Justin Thomas to continue his dream season and win his 1st Major Championship of likely many in his future. With 6 birdies and a final round 68, JT limited his mistakes with only 3 bogies on the day on a very tough test in Quail Hollow. It was a great show of short game with Thomas as well as hitting the driver long and straight even with his 145 pound frame. Needless to say watch out FedEx Cup Playoffs.
Justin grew up son of Mike Thomas who is a PGA of America Professional. As golf runs in the bloodline he has a bright future career ahead only being the age of 24.
Honourable player mentions of the weekend go to Graeme Delaet my fellow Canadian with a stretch of Birdie, Eagle, Eagle, Birdie on Saturday on the back nine. Kevin Kisner and Heideki Matsuyama had great weeks but couldn't hold on with timely bad holes on the back nine. Chris Stroud had a impressive finish coming off his 1st career PGA Tour win last week.
Who's excited for the final stretch of the golf season? I know I am as the final regular season tournamt the Wyndham Championship will commence with players battle for the top 125 that move on to the Playoffs. Congrats again Justin!
