We are always faced with different decisions that can make our future good or not so good. If we choose to fish, I am sure that in some way we distance ourselves from what God so deeply desires, and all that He wants to entrust to us.
7 Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. 8 Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. 9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. 10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.
Galatians 6:7-10
When we choose something that is not in accordance with God's will, we are choosing something that comes at a great cost, since in life we will always reap what we sow. We may not see it at the time, but every seed will bear fruit, whether good or bad.
Many people, when told what the rules are in any situation, simply associate it with taking away freedom or fun, but that is not the true intention. The Lord Jesus Christ offers us genuine freedom through a close relationship with Him. God fervently desires that we grow in faith and love for Him each day. This, in turn, allows us to set our own boundaries against anything that tries to divert our friendship with Jesus. Therefore, the rules that the Lord has set for our lives and that He recommends we follow are solely for our own good, so that we can set boundaries in our lives and thus serve Him freely and live a full life for God and for others.
When we choose to rebel and in some way challenge the Lord's authority or what He desires for our lives, we are simply giving the enemy an opportunity to gain an advantage and somehow hold us back. Perhaps at first, the enemy's work through our decisions is imperceptible to us, but let us always remember that we will reap what we sow.
24 No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth.
Matthew 6:24
God is very clear regarding what He has entrusted to us. Disobedience is not something He will overlook, and we understand through the Word that disobedience can bring incalculable consequences, as in the case of Adam and Eve. God only seeks what is good for us, and that is why we have the opportunity, second by second, to take advantage of His grace and draw near to Him without fear, understanding that He will guide us through His Holy Spirit and His love to make the best decisions and serve and honor Him forever.
Whoever has my commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves me. And he who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and manifest myself to him.
John 14:21
Siempre estamos frente a diferentes decisiones las cuales pueden hacer de nuestro futuro algo bueno o no tan bueno, si elegimos pescar, estoy seguro que de alguna forma nos alejamos de aquellos tan anhelado por parte de Dios, y todo lo que él quiere entregarnos en nuestras manos.
7 No os engañéis; Dios no puede ser burlado: pues todo lo que el hombre sembrare, eso también segará. 8 Porque el que siembra para su carne, de la carne segará corrupción; mas el que siembra para el Espíritu, del Espíritu segará vida eterna. 9 No nos cansemos, pues, de hacer bien; porque a su tiempo segaremos, si no desmayamos. 10 Así que, según tengamos oportunidad, hagamos bien a todos, y mayormente a los de la familia de la fe.
Gálatas 6:7-10
Cuando decidimos por aquello que de alguna manera no está conforme a la voluntad de Dios, estamos eligiendo por algo que cuesta muchísimo ya que en la vida siempre vamos a cosechar lo que sembramos, en el momento quizás no lo vemos pero toda siembra traerá su fruto sea bueno o no.
Muchas personas cuando en algún ámbito se les indica cuáles son las reglas, simplemente lo asocia a que esto quitará la libertad o la diversión, pero esa no es la verdadera intención ya que el señor Jesucristo nos ofrece libertad genuina a través de una relación cercana con él. Dios desea fervientemente que día día crezcamos en la fe y en el amor hacia el. Y esto a su vez nos permite poner nuestros propios límites delante de cualquier cosa que intente desviar nuestra amistad de Jesús. Por eso es que las normas que el señor ha puesto en nuestras vidas y que nos recomienda seguirla es solamente para nuestro bien para que nosotros pongamos los límites en nuestras vidas y así servirle con libertad y vivir una vida plena para Dios y para con los hombres.
Cuando decidimos por revelarnos y de alguna manera estamos desafiando la autoridad del señor o lo que él desea para nuestras vidas simplemente estamos dando lugar a que el enemigo tome ventaja y de alguna manera nos retenga. Quizás al principio para nosotros es imperceptible la obra del enemigo a través de nuestras decisiones pero recordemos siempre que vamos a cosechar lo que sembró.
24 Ninguno puede servir a dos señores; porque o aborrecerá al uno y amará al otro, o estimará al uno y menospreciará al otro. No podéis servir a Dios y a las riquezas.
Mateo 6:24
Dios es muy claro con respecto a lo que nos ha encomendado, la desobediencia no es algo que pasara por alto y entendemos a través de la palabra que la desobediencia puede acarrear consecuencias incalculables como es el caso de Adán y Eva. Dios solamente busca para nosotros el bien y es por eso que tenemos la oportunidad segundo otra segunda de aprovechar su gracia y acercarnos a él sin temor entendiendo que él no guiará por medio de su espíritu Santo a través de su amor para tomar las mejores decisiones y servirle y honrarle para siempre.
El que tiene mis mandamientos, y los guarda, ese es el que me ama; y el que me ama, será amado por mi Padre, y yo le amaré, y me manifestaré a él.
