Dear Steemit friends and followers,
Welcome to my Travel Tip series where I promote some of the most beautiful places, interesting landmarks and impressive architectural sites of my homeland, the Czech Republic.
Today, I will take you to one of the most beautiful spa town of the country, the captivating Moravian town of Luhacovice.

Located in the Southern Moravian Region of the country, some 16 km (10 mi) outside the city of Zlin, Luhacovice is a renowned spa town that was founded at the beginning of the 15th century.
Currently home to approximately 5,000 people, the town boasts stunning art nouveau architecture designed by the prominent Slovak architect Dusan Jurkovic. The most impressive buildings are found in the historic center of the town where you can also admire the iconic Jurkovic Villa, the most famous hotel of the town.

Nevertheless, what makes Luhacovice a very popular place in the country as well as abroad, is the natural springs that rise in the town and its close vicinity. The salty springs are rich in numerous minerals and other beneficial substances and they are used for treatment of a variety of different diseases.

Once you get enough of tasting the healing springs and roaming through the picturesque streets and colonnades, head out to explore the surroundings of the town. Luhacovice is located in a valley encircled with beautiful, green hills and mountains such as the Vizovice Highlands or the White Carpathians mountain range.
